I am receiving harrassing calls from someone named Melissa Jones from the number 866-207-1164.  They never say who the originator of the "loan" is. They contacted my mother, job and friends.  I don't know who these people are and I'm getting very upset with them, but not sure how to real out to the BBB or the federal gov't to get involved, because this has to stop!!!
If anyone has any information on BRG, please post it, because they are going to get off my back.

    That phone number...
...866-207-1164 belongs to Capital Business Systems Inc, a business that specializes in copiers and imaging equipment:

    http://www.dexknows.com/business_profiles/capital_business_systems_inc-b2714018

Melissa Jones is calling you and spoofing the number.  If she has to spoof her number to hide her identity, she doesn't have any legitimate reason to be calling you.

    ...that one didn't work either...

So, you can copy and paste the URLs into your browser.  Or you can run your own search on that phone number, or, you can go to dexknows.com or yellowpages.com and look for yourself.

The number has been spoofed.  They're common criminals.

I recieved a call from a man who stated he was going to be serving me with legal documents at my work within 30min. He said I should have recieved notice of this in the mail, which I told him I did not. He said in that case I needed to call BRG at 1-866-327-4218 gave me a referrance number and told me to call right away so maybe they can stop him from coming to my work to serve me with paper. I never called and 30 min came and went without anyone coming to my work.

Typical phone "debt collection" scam.. replies to Lily
This one is in the usual "caller/closer" format.  Pretend they're a "process server", to imply a "lawsuit", trying to get the victim to call back in a panic.  You then reach the "closer", who is experienced in coercing a "settlement" without any proof you even owe anything.  Splitting the deception also give plausible deniability to the scam, since although the perception they create is fully intended, each person only said part of the lies, and they pretend they aren't responsible for what you may have assumed from what the "process server" said.  This allows them to spin through cheap "process server" callers who are free to make all sorts of threats ("deputy sherriff", "a bench warrant will be issued", etc.), and if they get caught they can just dump them.  The "closers" typically have years of experience in this con, sort of a phone version of "Irish travelers" or gypsies.

My daughter called informing me she had a message on their cell phone from BRM seeking my whereabouts and contact info. She never called them back but gave me the phone number they left.  I called it and got some man who answered.  I did not give him any information but tried to ask why they were trying to contact me.   When I said I thought he was a scammer he immediately hung up.  If BRM had ant legitimate reason foot trying to contact me he never would have hung up.   They are pure scammers in my view.

Same story here about BRG. I knew right away it was a scam, since I'm not in arrears on any debts and I haven't done anything to be sued by anyone. I blocked their number, 877-214-9438, but they started calling my mother. I don't know how they got her number. I left a voicemail last night telling them to put up or shut up.

Yah I have gotten so many calls from these scammers over last couple days . female voice says we demand the whereabouts stating my name to collect on a debt and threaten to take further action against me getting the authorities involved . They don't say the company name but phone number 8773981742 is for this BRg. I opted not to talk further with these scammers. But today somehow they got my mothers phone number demanding to talk to me, I have not lived there for 6 years so how did they get that number for me ? wow it's really ridiculous these idiots are taking certain people .

These creeps have been calling my cell phone for the past week, and have started calling my wife, my parent, and a uncle of mine.  I literally go through this every year since my information was hacked from something (when I contacted the FBI & secret service, they told me they had no idea what company's was originally hacked).  After the harassed my mother, I called them livid.  The first woman I spoke with gave me the usual speech telling me about a payday loan and asked me why I didn't pay it back.  I flat out told her, 'I know this is fake' I told her I go through this every year.  She started yelling at me saying "if you paid your bills and stopped being an embarrassment to your family, then they wouldn't be getting these calls!  I calmly said 'that's wonderful, now please stop harassing my family."  She yelled again that I was being dumb and that "prosecution would continue" then hung up.  So, I called back, and another woman answered the phone, however this one sounded depressed or something...just didn't sound the same.  I told her that the woman I just talked to hung up the phone after yelling at me, she (very quietly) whispered "sir, I'm so sorry someone spoke to you that way.  Because you called and told us something the calls will now stop when the computer system resets tonight at 6:00"  Sound like I got someone on the phone whose conscience is bothering them.  Unbelievable that this goes on.  So, don't just block the number like I was going to do, just call them out on their BS and it will end.

The message left for me, on my mother's landline was from 877-204-2710. Used similar phrases like "trying to find the where abouts of me" would begin tracing... etc.  Ridiculous.  I called back, was a company claiming to be BRG, was an answering machine as well.  I would suggest to ask questions, do not let them take control of the conversation.  Start with, this phone call is being recorded and that they are on speaker phone, that is usually the end, if you are lucky enough to get someone on the phone.  Second, ask what the acronym BRG represents, ask if this is the phone number 877-204-2710, if that is the one they called from, ask for the address of their company, then ask them their name, ask the purpose of the call, who are they representing, assuming they are "trying" to collect a debt, then ask for the Date of Debt Origin.  The call should be long hung up on before you get all this in.  The message I left was than any further communication with them will be recorded and reported.  You can look them up on the BBB site under BRG Collections LLC.  They have a rating of "F" they also only have 60 complaints... submit a complaint or review to the BBB: https://www.bbb.org/atlanta/business-reviews/ ... rts-and-Actions  ( cut and paste starting with https://  Really tired of people trying to intimidate the misfortunate people that get on their illegitimate list.  Lets take our lives back, quit being taken advantage of.  I'm a vet and was a contractor, living a great life, good pay, until a Gran Mal Seizure ended an aviation career.  Back and neck were broken during the seizure, Now I live on disability, am sorry I'm putting a strain on the SSDI program.  Am sure this is not the setting for my venting, but am so tired of people taking advantage of others, whether you are fortunate enough to be working, or a burden to society as I feel I am.  Lets just take our country back from the predators of the world and the sociopaths who make a living off of your fear.  Don't hurt any one, no need to physically fight amongst other Americans, but if you can legitimately put their reputation or expose what they are doing... put them on the unemployment line... Hopefully they can find a job where they are not harassing people.  Sorry for the venting.  We don't deserved to be harassed over things that don't exist. Good Luck, and may we all be blessed.

They called my cell phone multiple times, I ignored them, but then they called my job. Oh no, that's not happening, so I called and they told me it's for a payday loan. I've never taken out a pay day loan, so I know this is a scam. I told them to never call me or my work number again, I did what the gentleman above said and made a complaint to the BBB. I also told them if they called again I will sue them. Let's just see what happens now.

    None of your business
They called me with 1-(574)-347-8638 and they voicemail sayings something about they have the right to call all contacts on record. I know I’m not in any trouble and am pissed at the gall of these scammers. The number they left was (877)-751-7505 I did call it and the voice on the machine said BRG ( very vague for a company name ) and if you know you party extension... most companies will say what their abbreviation is. Obviously a scam!
