We bought a Maytag washer less than two years ago - top of the line at the time and the engine has gone already.  They refuse to do anything because the warranty is only for one year.  This on the brand that has advertised for years that the Maytag Man was bored out of his skull because there were never any service calls. I can't think of another company that fell so far short of the brand they advertised.  I will never ever buy another piece of their crap.
