Price gouging - rip-off

Needing repairs to my LG washer and dryer (less than 5 years old), I contacted LG and was directed to an authorized service provider: Affordable Service Appliances, Inc. The repairs required a new thermostat for the dryer as it was not heating and a new water valve for the washer. I was told the parts cost over $200 and that the repairs would be a total of $558 ($579.54 with tax). The repairman completed the repairs in about 40 minutes. I later checked the LG manufacturer's website to verify the cost of the parts and found the two parts sell for $23.15 - not over $200 as I was charged. What a rip-off! It is not-so-affordable services for appliances. Given the actual cost of the parts, the company made over $500 for less than an hour of labor to make the repairs. This is price gouging. I contacted the company about the charges and was told basically, too bad those are our prices. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
