I just got off the phone with Whirlpool and since my machine is out of warranty they will not do anything, the repairs will be at my expense. Even after I explained there are hundreds of complaints on the internet, no reply. I spoke to someone on Chat and sent an email and in both reply's they will not admit to a problem, their answer is we have only had a few complaints of torn clothing and they solved by their recommendations of smaller loads, using the right cycle, etc. I going to contact the Consumer Protection Agency and find out if there is something they can do.
