Faulty chair
Complaint
Lee Cary
Country: United States
In 2003, I purchased a Thomasville desk chair (leather, $1000). In 2003 the metal undercarriage broke. I paid Thomasville to have it repaired. In 2008, the same piece broke in the same manner. The replacement cost had tripled - with me having to do the labor this time.
The chair appears identical to these current models: (1) Fredericksburg collection 43441-907 ($1600) and (2) kensington HS244 023 ($1800). After ten years, my chair is now trash. I essentially leased it for $100 a year with zero value after 10 years.
Buy one of the aforementioned models at your own risk.
