I am writing to you as I am being charged $14.99 on my credit card. I have never bought anything from you. I been charged 2 times on my credit card. I like these charges removed and credit issued to my credit card for the amount of $29.98. My account is a master charge. Thank you.

    You didn't mention any specific name or phone number listed on your bill in connection with the unauthorized charges.  Repeated unauthorized charges in this range are often due to deceptive "discount clubs".

    Immediately contact your bank to dispute all fraudulent charges, and close the account to prevent additional fraud.  You must notify your bank immediately, since under FCBA you only have 60 days from the statement date of the statement showing the disputed charge to do so, otherwise your bank is out of the picture.  Your bank can reverse disputed charges if you notify them promptly.  You should follow up by sending a written dispute, or a fraud affidavit, but notify them now.

    There are a number of companies running "discount club" scams, getting consumer account information from other merchants, claiming the consumer "authorized" the charges.  They often use deceptive offers of "discounts" that then turn into monthly charges (often with no discount ever even delivered).  They are being investigated by the Senate Commerce Committee, and the New York Attorney General.
