I used Krohn And Moss out of California . FULL DISCLOSURE: i have used these people and it didnt cost me a dime! All I can say is, it maybe took a few months, but this lawfirm is the best. I cannot by law discuss my case involving PRA as to whether I recovered any damages. Lets just put it this way, they wont be calling me anymore I dont think in the near future.

You can sue for violations of FDCPA in your local federal or state court, because FDCPA gives that court jurisdiction if you are in that jurisdiction, even if the defendant is in another state.
FDCPA and FCRA allow courts to award damages, and your attorney fees, if you win. Congress's intent was that private attorneys would assist in the enforcement of the law. Because of this, you can find attorneys who take these FDCPA violation cases on contingency.
