Core Resolutions contacted me about an outstanding loan with JVC.  I arranged to make a one time payment.  Two days later the same company called me about my car loan with my credit union, indicating they had turned me over to Core Resolutions.  I contacted my credit union, who had NEVER turned my car loan over to them [I am current and have had the loan for five years).  They asked me to fax the letter from Core Resolutions, and then they ascertained it was potential fraud.  They blocked my debit card and issued a new one.  Today Core Resolutions called me again and threatned legal action but would NOT provide me with any written contract, payday loan information, personal loan contract, nothing.n  What is my recourse?

File complaints with the ftc and your state AG.
Under the FDCPA , the "debt collector" had five days to send a letter with the original documents by snail mail. You have 30 days to dispute the debt.
Since they refused to send any documents, it seems like it's a scam.

    Sounds like a shakedown scam..

Since your credit union reports they do NOT represent them in their demands to collect from you, yet they have information on your card loan which they appear to be using in a con attempt, check your credit reports to see who has made a recent inquiry, who might have obtained that information.  In particular, check your Experian report, since they've shown up in a number of complaints reporting fraudulent debt collection.

What phone numbers? replies to Sounds like a shakedown scam..
Scam debt collectors often use multiple names to hide that complaints point to the same scammers.  It's often possible, however, to link them by the phone numbers they use.
      What phone numbers?

    Also..
How do you know your payment to Core Resolutions for the JVC loan actually went to JVC?
If they'd lie about one demand (fraudulently "collecting" on your car payment), there is no reason to believe they're telling the truth about anything.
Did you check with JVC, and see if they actually credited your payment against the loan?
And why aren't you paying the lender directly?
