Robo caller claiming to be an officer of the law

Received a very strange robot call claiming it was representing an officer of the law and that legal action would be taken unless I return the call. This was highly suspicious as they revealed an officer name but declined to state a charge, statue violation or case number which is required by law. Be careful not to buy into this scam as people are letting thier guard down because someone is threating legal action. Also they provided a call back number that was in a different area code as the actual call.
