Only 3 month battery warrenty for defective items

We purchased 4 pcs Tenergy Li-Ion 18650 3.7V 2600 mAh Rechargeable Batteries with Internal PCB for our flashlight from Battery Superstore through Amazon.com and used 2 in rotation while we were in the Philippines.  2 batteries were not used.  We purchase another flashlight and charger to send to the Philippines and attempted to charge the other 2 batteries for use in the Philippines.  One of those batteries would not charge.  We have appealed to Battery Superstore explaining the reason for our claim of which they have denied us specific performance of exchange due to defect.  Instead we were blamed for possible misuse.  Personally, I think that it is important for an investigation to be made concerning the integrity of the products being sold at Battery Superstore.  No customer in their right mind would buy something knowing that it only had a life expectancy of only 3 months.  Neither would they be willing to purchase more than one or two batteries at a given time if they knew that they had no recourse to fix their problem after 3 months.  Amazon needs to be aware of this policy as well as every agency related to this issue.
