Operators say they are "updating the business listing information for the next twelve months." During the first contact, I was asked for my full name, and my title, and to verify if our mailing address was correct. The solicitor read off a garbled attempt at the address and I said it was not correct. Then they say they are transferring the call to a listing supervisor for approval. They have contacted our business a dozen times over the past 2 weeks. We asked to be taken on their sales 'list' and they refuse. Requests to speak to a manager are refused. Our phone system recorded their number as 546-286-6611. Attempts to call back that number failed.

This fits the pattern of common "business directory" scams.  Generally, they will try to record an employee replying to their "updating information" in a manner they can later fraudulently misrepresent as an "approval" of some "advertising agreement" that was never disclosed.

Complaints against that number.  Several names used, reported connection to Quebec, which is a common location for fraudulent telemarketing scams, including business directory scams.

They may be spoofing their caller id.  Can't find 546 area code, and there is a report that calling back is reported as an invalid number.

They may be attempting to fabricate an "authorization" recording either for purposes of fraudulent invoicing, or to cram fraudulent charges onto phone bills.  Check your phone statements carefully.

"The phone number listed to obtain their service is (514)397-9512, which is located in Quebec.  If you read thru some of their legal jargon, the office is located in Huntington Beach, CA.  I have filed compliants with my local phone company AT&T, the FCC, and the FTC.  I am still getting the same calls numberous times a day.  Everytime I see this number on caller id my blood presure goes up.  If you try to call the number back, it is not a working number.

This company calls everyday, and if we hang up they call back. They are very annoying and have asked them to take us off their calling list. They are still calling. I almost want to be RUDE to them. What do they want from us? I still have not gotten that far in the phone call. One time I tried to finish the phone call so they would not call back, but it was over 10 minutes and I had enough and hung up on them. Make them stop!!!

They have called repeatedly during the 3 years I have had this office, and they called the previous owners also.  They have called everyday this week.  Yesterday, I told the guy I wasn't interested, that I had told him everyday that I wasn't interested and that since he couldn't speak English, to put an English-speaking person on the phone and I would tell them.  Do you want to know what he said to me?  He said, okay ma'am I will talk slow.  It infuriated me; I hung up.  Well I guess he got me didn't he.  Well, today when he called, I again told him I wasn't interested and he interrupted me and continued with his speel.  So, I began singing "God Bless America" at the top of my lungs into the phone; and no I am not a good singer and I sing very off key.  Then I hung up.  Next time, I think I will try witnessing (Christian) to him.  I've heard of some people doing that to try not to get mad.

These dirt bags call all times of the day and night, wasting my time with every insult and come-on outlined in this post. I've asked politely, pleaded, even DEMANDED, that they cease these calls and that we be placed on their "do not call list." Yeah, right. The inarticulate weasels are still phoning. We've had it; no more messing with these miscreants. I'm getting an air horn and blasting their ear drums the next time they ring me up. Maybe then the jerks will get the message. If nothing else, I'll have the feeling of fighting fire with fire.

They call our church office at least once a week. They claim to have gotten our number from a previous invoice. Just make sure you say to them "We do not wish to list with you." They will keep calling but atleast you will not be trapped.

They call daily.  They have ignored our insistence to be removed from their list.  I will investigate reporting them to the FCC.  But for now since they won't go away, we just say, "just one moment" as soon as they call.  And they are place on hold indefinitely.
