Automated calls from unidentified number

I got four automated messages from 0845 603 1755 on my work phone number while I was travelling for work.

I called Lloyds on a different number and they said that yes it was a genuine number concerning a 'random block' on my account...they don't seem to realise that some of their customers do travel outside the UK and that we do expect to be able to use our bank cards when abroad!

The agent said I should call them each time I travelled abroad so that my card wouldn't be blocked - I told her that this is ridiculous and I don't intend to notify my bank of my whereabouts all the time - it's none of their business and I travel a lot for work in any case so it's not practical either. Also as I often travel on my own, it's not safe for me as a lone female to be denied access to my funds while I'm away.

They've registered this as a complaint but it remains to be seen what they do to make me a happier customer.
