POSTERPASS.COM ARE RIPOFF ARTIST.  I HAD PROBLEMS WITH THEM LAST YEAR WITH THE SAME COMPLAINT EVERYONE ELSE IS REPORTING ABOUT (THIS WAS 09/2008).  I CANCELLED WITH THEM AND SENT THEIR LOUSY POSTERS BACK.  I LOOK AT MY CHECKING ACCOUNT TODAY AND SEE THESE SAME [***] HAVE HIT MY ACCOUNT AGAIN OVER A YEAR LATER.  TODAY IS NOV 25 2009.  I CALLED THE COMPANY TO COMPLAIN AND WAS TOLD BY SOME SILLY LIL [***] THAT "OH WE HAD A COMPUTER GLITCH THAT REINSTATED ALL OF THE CANCELLED ACCOUNTS...AND THAT'S WHY WE CHARGED YOUR ACCOUNT TODAY."  YEAH RIGHT.  TWO THINGS I KNOW...1.EVANSTON IS A NEAR NORTHERN SUBURB OF CHICAGO AND I GO TO CHICAGO ON A REGULAR BASIS;  2.SOMEBODY AT POSTERPASS.COM WILL HAVE A "GLITCH" RIGHT DOWN THE CENTER OF THEIR SKULL IF I DONT GET MY MONEY BACK!!!!!

They are using "plausible deniability" as a cover to attempt another grab at the money.  Not surprising, since their "lost" or "delayed" cancellation tactics fit the same pattern.  They also use that to claim it is a "billing error" instead of the obvious fraud.

That is why when you find out you are dealing with crooks, and they have your account information, you have to close the account to prevent future fraud.  You don't know how far into the future they might try again.

You cannot depend on any claim that they will reverse this "error", any more than you could depend on them to "cancel" a year ago.

Immediately contact your bank to dispute the fraudulent charge and close the account to prevent additional fraud in the future.  Follow up with a written dispute or fraud affidavit to your bank and make sure they receive it within 60 days of the statement date of the statement showing the disputed charges.

File complaints with BBB, FTC, your state AG, and the Illinois Attorney General, to alert them that this company claims to have made a batch of unauthorized charges to cancelled customers.

They will promise a refund but will not follow through.  They will blame a computer or server error - if you are lucky enough to get through to them. The parent company is Peel, Inc.  I'm just disgusted that they are ripping so many people off (including me!)... I actually contacted my local FBI office and they told me that unauthorized charges to your credit card IS CREDIT CARD FRAUD and is handled by the United States Secret Service Agency! I've already left a message with them and I will be filing a complaint and making them aware of Peel, Inc.  Please do the same...  Together we can expose this company!

Same thing here.  I keep a close eye on my bank accounts and found the same charge of $79.00. I do not have the liberty to close my accounts as I have several transactions automated through the accounts. All I had to do is contact my banking institution and they temporarily reversed the charges while they investigate this company.  THey will also handle any charges that may apply.  I love contacting posterpass.com by phone where they obviously have caller ID. Was initially told that a refund will be given because of a computer glitch.  the process was to take three weeks.  I was unsatisfied with this and asked to speak to a supervisor, I got a voice mail and no return call back (of course.
