Theft! They took money after 6 months of canceling membership!

Like others, we signed up for the membership and received our initial shipment May, 2009.  Three days later, a second shipment came and we were billed $39.99 prompting us to cancel our membership.  We were told if we returned the coffee a full refund would be forthcoming.  None came.  Now, 6 months later, after we canceled our membership, this company STOLE from us $79.99 out of our account.  No product or service was requested or ordered.  The debit from our account was illegal, unauthorized and unlawful.

I recommend you all do as we have done.  Contact the IL state better business bureau THEN your local FBI and file internet crimes cases against this company!!!  What they are doing isn't just poor business practices, its theft!  The only way to stop them is to contact BBB AND FBI both!  Link this website on your complaint!  Let those agencies see that yours isn't an isolated case!  Start a paper trail.  Names, dates, each time you call to request refunds.

    Complaint here is that they "reactivated" all their accounts, and charged this consumer who cancelled a year ago.

    Dispute the unauthorized charges through your bank as fraudulent, and close the account to prevent another repeat.

    Cluster of 3 complaints against the same company:  Resuming charges that had been cancelled 6 month to a year ago.  Reported to be systematicly charging old cancelled customer accounts.

    This makes it a cluster of 4, within hours, consistent with one complaint that they were claiming some "computer glitch" reactivated all their terminated accounts.

    Last year my sister ordered this coffee offer and after the initial shipment I called to cancell the membership.  We did not like the coffee and the cost was outrageous.  I received another shipment about a week later and my checking account was charged $79 for this shipment even though I returned both this one and the first one.  Whe  I spoke with a sales rep I was told that the membership would be cancelled and that I would be refunded. I never was.  Two weeks ago I received a shipment (which I refused)and my account was charged $79. Last Friday I received another shipment(which was also refused)and I was also charged for this shipment. I have tried for 2 weeks to talk with someone at this company but cannot get through to a human.  I leave my name and phone number but they do not call me back.  I called my bank and turned them in to the fraud department.  This is insane.  Why are these people still able to operate like this?

    They will promise a refund but will not follow through.  They will blame a computer or server error - if you are lucky enough to get through to them. The parent company is Peel, Inc.  I'm just disgusted that they are ripping so many people off (including me!)... I actually contacted my local FBI office and they told me that unauthorized charges to your credit card IS CREDIT CARD FRAUD and is handled by the United States Secret Service Agency! I've already left a message with them and I will be filing a complaint and making them aware of Peel, Inc.  Please do the same...  Together we can expose this company!
