it's a scammer using a fake Craigslist add

I answered an add On Craigslist about a 7x14' utility trailer for sale , for a friend & found out it was a scam & suddenly started having battery & charging issues w/ my phone ... my email address & phone number , was probably compromised... what can I do ??

    As long as you don't send any money, you should be OK.  They will ask you to buy gift cards (eBay cards, Steam cards, iTunes cards, etc.) and send them the number on the back.  Don't do it; it's like mailing them cash, and you'll never get your money back.

    This scam is alive and well again in March, 2019.  There are trailers advertised at anna@bryann.com that are obviously fake ads. These people are fakes and are ridiculous.
