Quote for Maytag Neptune clutch replacement is 209.00 for parts...everyone sells these RETAIL for under $150, including Home Depot online.  Tech also adds on to the estimate "bearings" for $38.73; RETAIL = <$25.  The bearings are fine, BTW...he never even looked at them, but I did.  So we've got about $250 for parts and another $250 for labor, on top of the $65 service call...we're approaching $600 for what is really a clutch kit replacement, maybe 1 hour labor (should be part of the $65 service call and maybe $140 in parts).   So they're 3x what they should be.  Quite incompetent, actually.  No desire to help me figure out a more economical way.  Hope they go out of business.  "Screw 'em" is their motto, I guess.

    obviuous another engineer you do that job an let us know how long it really takes keep in mind you still have 10 calls to do and over 180 miles see easy to complain
