I received a similar message from a caller stating that documents needed to be signed and they would be at my location between the hours of 3:00-5:00pm. If they were unable to get a signed document they where threatening to go by your employer to have a supervisor or even a security to sign as a witness. WTF!#*^¿

First of all never answer calls from private numbers. Second never answer calls from unknown numbes. Third use your head and always be alert.

Apparently you can make free calls through google and this is where its coming from, so if uve sent them to voicemail before and have it set up thays probably how they get ur name, and im assuming the rest theyll get off ur google account? Or they could just be calling random numbers. Either way its just a scam and it scared me too but it doesnt now that i know this

This is not a single person, but a group who portray themselves as different organizations or companies (most recently, they're pretending to be Amazon Customer Service trying to "help" you with some supposed expensive charge on your account -- to protect you from fraudulent activity!).  They are just phishing for information about you -- they'll ask you to confirm the spelling of your name, your address, your email address, your SS#, your credit card number -- as much as they can get away with. DO NOT speak to these people. Like someone else said, do not answer calls from Private Numbers or unknown numbers.  Change your google/email/all other passwords regularly. Put a SPAM blocker on your phone & report any harassing calls as SPAM (it should be an option on your phone) or to the BBB. If you feel you are being specifically targeted or someone has been really scaring you, report it to your local Police - just calmly explain what you've been experiencing & they will tell you what they can do to help you or further direct you as to what you can do to get help.
Also, keep an eye on your text messages. If you receive any funky messages that have a bunch of phone numbers attached to it, DO NOT reply AT ALL -- just report it as SPAM and delete it. If you get any unsolicited texts, DO NOT reply to those, either -- don't reply STOP if the message says to do so to opt out of these texts. Just report & delete. These are often scammers too.
One last thing: If you get a friend request from someone you are already friends with on Facebook, it's more than likely NOT your friend, but a scammer trying to get your contacts list for phishing purposes. Check with your friend first. If they didn't set up a whole new Facebook account & send that request to you, ignore it. Here's a clue: If you get a friend request from someone you're already friends with (or anyone you know, for that matter), look at their profile & see how many other friends they have. If they have none or only one or two -- that's a big red flag. Call your friend and check before accepting.
Thanks for reading, stay safe, change those passwords every month, don't answer, reply, or accept if you're not 100% sure who's trying to contact you, install a SPAM blocker, don't give out personal info, and you'll be just fine.

      ME
This person is the same person convincing people that their computer has a virus and that they should let him access it so that he can put things on and steal identity. It is also the same scam as the person claiming to be the IRS and that you are in trouble...The same person who wants to convince you that your email domain name has expired. SAME SCAM. The problem with this scam is that the person is using VoIP and can pretend to call from any number that he wants. I have seen 619 area code, 909, 844, even the Dell Computer Tech support line in Texas. Once in a computer, he can steal information about you as well as the people you know. This is how he can seem to know so much about you and you feel powerless. The breach probably didn't occur with your computer but someone you know that has you in a contact list. This allows him to have your name, number and address depending upon what the person has in the contact list. You can block the number but because they are using VoIP, they can enter a different number and spoof call you again. Do not give your personal information to anyone that you do not know. Do not give SSN, DOB anything to anyone that you do not know. Force the caller to verify who they are. If they claim to be from an organization, then hang up and look up the number online or in a phone book and call that org and ask if they are trying to contact you. Most orgs that have a .GOV will not call you. They will send you actual mail. Even then, be careful.
