I called this company to set up a local number and before hand I specifically asked the idiotic operator if she was sure that I could do this considering I moved to a different state. Keep in mind I told her that the chances were they would ask for an address as well. She told me that I can set up the local service and to just provide them with my out of state address and I should be all set. That wasn't the case. Global Tel Link told me that I had to send them proof such as a utility and cell phone bill with a Connecticut address and that I could not use their service from out of state with that local number cons call home provided me with. I called them and canceled the very next morning and they refused to fully refund me despite what the rep had told me. The representative that I canceled with was very rude and started giving me a story about how he knows I CAN do it because he's from NY (as if I cared). He then hung up on me. DON'T EVER USE THIS COMPANY

    Just a call forwarding scam that sometimes works until the prison provider catches on. Then the number gets blocked and the inmate gets in trouble.

    I subscribed to this phone scam. I sent out my first text message to my friend in prison. He never received it. He said he try to send me a text message, I never received it. I waited 24 hours to see if it would take a minute to go through and It didn’t . So when I complained about it and ask for a refund they told me know that there was messages sent. Yeah they were sent but no one ever received them. Then they also said that they had my telephone number wrong in their system. Do not use this company. THEY ARE SCAMMERS
