ARG & Associates has been calling me for over 20 years. They have stepped up there plan and are calling me 5 days a week. I get a recorded message stating that the police could show up to my door and arrest me, that my driver's license will be taken away from me. They are looking for a lady by the name of Patricia Moore that is not me. I have repeatedly requested that they take my name off . I have called and spoke to them multiple times but the calls continued. They would not give me their name and hung up on me and said ma'am no need to make threats. I was not threatening I was asking a name of the business. I found their name and multiple complaints have been filed against this company. It's harassment and I am sick of it.

When they call tell them to send what they want you to understand in writing and you will respond in kind.  Tell them that "this is not a refusal to pay but a demand that they validate the debt in writing."  Follow up with the demand to contact you in writing only.  These are the steps to take to setup for Fair Debt Collection Practices Act violations.  If you refuse to pay without asking for validation, they will use that as an admission that the debt is valid and it can make getting a judgement against you easier.  If you tell them to never contact you this opens them up to being able to file suit as they have no other recourse.  Never agree to pay a collection agent as they are a third party intervener and you are never contractually obligated to pay a party who is not specifically named on the contract that you sign.  Lastly look up a Request For Validation Form on the internet and send it by Certified Mail to the Collection Agent and demand it be filled out in full before dialog continues.  This works almost 100 percent of the time and they go away.

    Idiots..
It's illegal for debt collectors to threaten you with things they can't or don't do, such as having the cops arrest you, or that your drivers license will be taken away, Furthermore, these idiots aren't even threatening the right victim, but debt collectors making illegal threats tend to be sloppy.
Save a copy of their recorded message.  Contact FTC to report their violations of FDCPA, and send them a copy of the recorded message with illegal threats.  These low-lifes tend to use the same scripts against all their targets.  If FTC  has been getting lots of these complaints, an actual recording of their threats might tip them toward putting them out of their misery.
