www.PDSSUP.com: BEWARE of fraud charges
Complaint
Mike Watson
Country: United States
Who is www.PDSSUP.com? and Why they are charging my checking account? Their website says they are Payday Loan Resource Center, but there is no phone number no address listed there. Seems like a scam operation to me.
They took $6.78. Unfortunately, although it was a very small amount, it caused an automatic overdraft fee to be deducted from our account in the amount of $35.00. I typed in the web address and I got more info from other people who have had the same scam pulled on them. Check your statements and complain to your bank right away.

They also appear to be connected to some "theftprotectsupport.com" / "IDINS" / "idprosup.com" scam. See the second trail, apparently unconnected to the main topic here:

If you didn't authorize the charge, dispute it in writing thru your bank as fraudulent, and ask them to waive your overdraft fee. Also change your bank account number to prevent further fraudulent charges.
If they won't waive the fee, you need to explore using another bank. Small charges fraud is increasing due to lack of a coordinated response by the banks, and if you can't get cooperation even in waiving a fee resulting from fraud when they have decided for "cost reasons" to take no action on these small frauds, then they are not going to look after your interests in the future either. Indeed, why should they, when they just make back any small loss from additional resulting fees?
They have basically invited criminals to bombard your account with false charges, and the criminals know it.
Do NOT use debit cards or checking account numbers to make any purchases. Use checks only with companies you know and trust. Use credit cards for all other purposes.
Terminate all debit cards. Use ATM cards only for cash from your own bank's ATM machines.
I am not sure how they got my banking info as I NEVER give it out over the internet.I was looking for a payday loan and have never received one. I NEVER agreed to this. This company is ripping people off-- SO!!! BE WARE, CHECK YOU STATEMENTS EVERY MONTH AND REPORT THESE FRAUDS.
They took money you did not authorize, so dispute the fraudulent charge thru your bank.
If this was taken from your bank account, dispute it with your bank IN WRITING as a fraudulent charge, and change your checking account, closing that account to prevent future fraudulent charges.
1) be unreachable,
2) they will ignore you,
3) they will try to talk you out of it or claim you ordered something,
4) they will string you along with promises to refund or requirements that you send them your request on some form until 60 days has passed and your bank won't help you,
5) or they may refund the fraudulent charge with no consequences to them.
In all cases, they continue business as usual, and may even try to charge you again in a few months.
Your ONLY effective reponse is to dispute this with your bank as a fraudulent charge, PROMPLTLY AND IN WRITING to preserve your rights under FCBA (for credit card charges) or Reg. E (for checking account charges). You want the charge reversed for fraud, and you want your bank on notice that this was fraud.
You also MUST change your account number immediately to prevent future fraudulent charges, as you already know your account number is in the hands of crooks and your bank cannot effectively block their charges should they use one of their other names.
You should not be using debit or check cards, or your checking account number, for any on-line or retail purchases, since fraudulent activity may result in disruption of your payments to other legitimate creditors, and requires that you close that account.
Cancel all debit and check cards. Use only ATM cards requiring a PIN at your bank's own ATM machines. Use checks only to pay companies you trust and have an on-going business relationship with, such as for rent, mortgage, utilities, etc. Use credit cards for all other transactions, since they are easier to close in case of fraud.
I HAVE THE INFO BELOW THIS IS NOT YOUR FAULT THE PERSON AND COMPANY WHO DID THIS IS READ READ READ
Certegy Check Services, Inc. had a Vice President of Data Base to sell personal info: names, adresses, bank names and checking account numbers so now there is a class action law suit. I had gotten a `card in the mail a while back about a possible theft of information and you could contact this company I all most threw it away but for some reason something told me not to so I put it in my files. When I went to the bank they said they would replace my money for 2 months but the months before that I was just out of luck cause the statue of limitations had run out. I also had to close that account and that is a huge hassel and my income goes into that direct dep so I have to have all that changed my bank drafts my entire life. When I finally talked with someone at this number 1-877-580-9770 they checked and sure enough my name was on the list on names that had been comprimised or sold so they are sending me a packet of information to file a suit under the class action law suit. You can also go to www.DataSettlement.com too.
Do not let you bank act like you had to do something that caused this cause you did nothing. My bank kept saying I had to provide the checking account information to someone for something for them to have gotten my checking acct. number but that WAS NOT the case. I also am going to file a police report as identify and stolen account information with the police dept. tomorrow. This is a huge thing it is all across the country and my bank said if it really was a true scam then they would have kept getting larger amounts but why should they with the small amounts that people did not notice until it started making accounts go into overdraft if that had not happensd they would have gotten away with this for a long time. But even with $6.78 and 31.98 times thousands and they hit my acct with those amounts twice in one month so they got $77.52 from me in April and multiply that by 10,000 people and they were clearing over$775,000 a month that's not bad income. Contact the phone number I gave you above or the web site there is going to be a hearing but you have to file a claim by July 31 or you can not try and get your money back. Also even if you went into your bank and spoke with someone send the bank president and chariman of the board a letter explaining what happened so they know their systems and employees are not watching these accounts closely enough. They should have seen those amounts coming in from the same company repeatedly and that should have sent up a huge red flag. Good luck to everyone and get on this and file your complaint this is not right also if we can have charges brought against the Vice President of Certegy who sold this info needs to be behing bars cause while he was enjoying his big bucks I was struggling and even when my account was being overdrawn I thought it was my fault since I had been ill and my family had been dealing with some issues so everyone was stressed and I was not on top of my game but I from now on. God Bless each of you and I hope this helps. Good Luck
