This company is a fraud. Everything I read, I see over and over. I am now waiting to get my car fixed, it has been in the shop for about a month. I try to call and wait for ever, when I talk to someone the only answers I get are its under review, we need your records, its denied. I bought a warranty for my mint 2002 caddy. They gladly sold me the warranty but when I need it, Direct Buy has every reason not to cover it. I have asked to talk to a manager but I never get one. I am looking to join or start a class action law suit against Direct Buy Warranty.

    I agree , Direct Buy Warranty is a fraud the same thing happened to us. They stated that we needed to provide maintenance records for a vehicle that we have owned for 6 months, we provided oil changes , they stated those were insufficient records ,claim denied. This was after 2 weeks in the shop. I finally had to pay for the repairs because i needed my vehicle. They still won't give us a refund or return any calls. DO NOT BUY FROM DBW you will be sorry and broke. I'm in on a class action lawsuit.

    When Did you buy the warranty and when did you call in for your repair? On DBW website if you look at there terms they have an additional requirement. *Terms and Conditions are subject to change at any time without notice. Please view your vehicle service contract and paper work that was sent out to your home. Please read your contrat carefully. NOTE: This is not a contract of insurance, vehicle service, warranty, extended warranty, or implied warranty. A vehicle service contract is not intended for false use or to repair problems that a vehicle may currently be experiencing. Any known or unknown pre-existing condition may be determined by the repair facility or by the administrator. Claims made within 90 days of contract start date are especially subject to review to ensure that your vehicle service contract was not purchased falsely.

    I HAVE TO SAY THAT I HAVE FOUND THEM TO BE RUDE, OBNOXIOUS, BLUNT AND UNHELPFUL. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE NEEDING A WARRANTY GO ELSEWHERE. DISGUSTED BY THE BAD ATTITUDE AND INABILITY TO SPEAK TO BILLING DEPT ON THE 15, YES 15!!!! TIMES I TRIED.

    Seems to me you all have valid arguments.  Additionally, if DBW is entering into a service contract with you they should be asking for your service records PRIOR to accepting your money and providing you with coverage.  Do they demand an inspection of the vehicle prior to extended warranty coverage?   If they do not, then they have no legal right to refuse agreed upon services based on "no service records" or "improper care of vehicle."  They have no way of determining if the respective mechanical defect is an existing condition upon commencement of coverage.

    I HAVE POSTED ON OTHER COMPLAINTS AND FEEL COMPELLED TO NOTIFY ANYONE IU CAN TO SAVE THEM GRIEF.....AFTER 25+ YEARS IN THE BUSINESS I HAVE NEVER DEALT WITH A MORE UNPROFESSIONAL, EVASIVE WARRANTY COMPANY AS THIS ONE. I AM ON HOLD AS WE SPEAK FOR 25 MINUTES TO BE TOLD THEY CANT ANSWER A DIRECT QUESTION AS TO WHETHER A COMPONENT WAS A COVERED ITEM OR NOT. UNBELIEVABLE!! I ENDORSE ZURICH WARRANTY..VERY EASY TO WORK WITH AND VERY REPUTABLE....WE ARE A VERY LARGE DEALERSHIP ON THE WEST COAST AND HAVE MANY COMPANIES WANTING OUR BUSINESS...TAKE IT FOR WHAT ITS WORTH!

    THEY HAVE NO INTENTION ON EVER PAYING FOR A DAM THING IM ON THE HOOK FOR 3200.00 DAM  DOLLARS AND I'M F**ken mad at this company if any one has any information on a class action law suite pls pls let me know i do not care were i have to go  im all the way in.

    Do not buy Direct Buy Ext warranty.. We stopped accepting them at our dealer.. They approved several claims and give you the run around when its time for them to pay. Worst company and warranty I have ever delt with

    I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT PEOPLE "DO NOT" DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR MONEY TAKEN FROM YOU.  They refused to fix our car saying the transfer case broke due to "wear and tear".  They WONT let us talk to the inspector that made the determination, they won't let us get a copy of the report, they wont give us an official "NO" in writing.  They are scammers, thief's and rip off artiest.  Why hasn't the government shut them down???????????????????????????????

    this company is a ripp off. i been calling them for the last 2 weeks n they will not answer the phone. had me on hold for 1 hour n they hung up. do not mess with them

    Took the car to the dealer for oil change and mentioned a problem we were having but that it was covered under this Direct Buy Warranty. They graciously took the warranty information and made the call. After they were on hold forever, they were told "that is covered but we have to send you the part and you use our part and we pay a certain amount for labor." EXCUSE ME! Who in their right mind is going to warranty the work on a part that isn't the person's doing the work? SERIOUSLY? Okay, fine. We took it to a car shop a few months later. They took the warranty information, knew exactly what the problem was and called the warranty company. They held for an hour only to be hung up on. They then called back the next day only to have a repeat performance. Is this really even a company? Does anybody work there? No one answers the phone. No one responds to the customer service email and this is ridiculous. Something needs to be done. This company needs to be out of business and be made to pay restitution for all the people that were scammed.
