I bought the microwave in 2007.  I use it very rarely and am gone all summer so it is never used then.  It would not work and a microwave tech told me it was burned out.  I ordered a new one--a GE.  When the installer took out my Kenmore he found two panels that should have been removed and were not.  So the unit did not get enough air and burned out.  I kept the panel and took pictures of the microwave after it was taken out.  I went to Sears and was put on the phone to a complaint dept.  The woman on the phone took all of the information and told me Sears would contact me in 24 or 48 hours.  It has been a few weeks and I have heard nothing.  Want to be sure that this does not happen to anyone else.  I do feel that Sears owes me some compensation for the unit.  My old one was 25 years old and still working.  Just replaced it because it was so old.  Should have kept the old one.  VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH KENMORE!!!  My whole house is Kenmore but when I buy my next appliance, I will have to think twice about another one.
