THIS SMELLS LIKE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT TO ME!
Direct TV does not disclose at the time of purchase or upgrade that there is a line of credit on these access cards. Also it should be stated that the credit is available without a land line plugged in. The two year contract they make you sign does not disclose this information.
Just like the rest of you I got nailed for $144 worth of PPV charges which were watched back in 2008 - 2009. This showed up on the old card after Direct TV talked me into the "Whole Home DVR" package just two months ago. I hope a real good Attorney reads this post and takes the case on.
Note: Before a Direct TV technician comes to your home and installs the upgrade throw that fricken access card in the microwave for a few seconds and then place it back into the reciever. TAKE THAT DIRECT TV !!!
