I've been paying for membership for a while now without going to the gym and want to cancel.

I was told by managers I have to come in to sign a "waiver" in order to cancel membership.  I can pay and never show up - but if I cancel, I need to come to the gym!  There is no place to complain to managment in Massachussetts Corporate office - accept "Rip Off Report" on the internet.  This is not satisfactory and I feel that I have paid enough over the last 2 years that I didn't go to the gym, to have afforded me a FAXED WAIVER for my convenience!  I certainly would have appreciated that accommodation as I am a good paying customer - as Blast knows from my billing records.  I will be sure and tell everyone I come in contact with in both Texas and any business associates who travel NOT to use Blast Fitness as they do not appreciate good-paying customers much less realize that customers are their primary "bread and butter".

I take what you said seriously and will not be renewing with them for a number of reasons, not just financial ones.  My main complaint has been hearing unfulfilled promises concerning their fixing up broken equipment.  Weeks and months go by with no results.  They seem willing to accept money in, but not invest in the normal maintenance of the very equipment we need to work out.  I have now opted to use the great outdoors for my walks.  God doesn't charge for that.

I cancelled my membership 4 months ago. Their employee didn't do it right and they have been drafting membership fees all along. I talked to a manager who said I had to talk to another manager, who said she couldn't do anything and I had to talk to HER manager. The numbers she gave me, one goes to voicemail and the other one rings indefinitely. I decided to take the hit for the months I've paid and just re-cancel. Ha. Now they have a $59 cancelling fee. Going back later today to talk to the manager. Again. Who will probably be in a meeting or not have come in or got called in by Jesus and Buddha. Horrible place to do business with.

I totally agree they don't fix their equipment, but have no problem taking your money. I go to the one in Saint Paul, MN and several customers have complain about the equipment with NO results. They claim they don't know when the maintence person is comming and don't care.

FYI... I went for a 5min. tour of the St. Paul location & decided to sign up for the "membership" with the so-called "manager" when it came time to make the required sign up fee, my card was declined. However, during the wait I noticed the unprofessionalism of the staff. Therefore, I was relieved my pmt was declined! He told me the membership was in void due to non pmt, so I said good because it didn't took like a good fit anyway. I left & never returned just to find out they have been charging me all along. A total of $120 in just a 2mo. period. Now they claim they are NOT truly management, just "FRONT MEN" and have not clue who can authorize a refund to my accouynt. WTF!>>>>>BLAST FITNESS IS A 100% SCAM.................

This club seems to operate with no leaders! Dirty, smelly, and very unhealthy clubs! Seems like nobody is responsible for CLEANING; STINKS EVERYWHERE IN WISCONSIN club locations. They are closing severial locations HERE. What kind of future does Blast have???? Why did I ever renew? Was with BALLYS for 26 years before this sorry company bought them out!

I have also been a member here in Wisc and a disabled Vet my membership was up at Ballys so I joined Blast when it was time to renew. So I paid 230.00 cash 2wks later I wanted to cancelled and asked for my money to be return they said no refunds that I had a membership for a yr I said no I want a refund waiting to hear back from ABC Financial who handles there account. I will wait for one week then fill a complaint with the Wisc Dept of Consumer Protection in Madison Wisc They moved the club to a different area which is not suitable for me they also took away the Steam room and Whirlpool which I need. I have read so many bad reviews from across the US. I think everyone should file a Complaint in there State with the Dept of Consumer Protection service lets start a fire under there [***]. I will not let them rip me off. You all have a great Day Peace

Closed location and did not tell anybody.  Continued to charge and was unable to cancel contact on an closed location.  They said they transfer my membership to a different gym.  Gold Gym.  They never even told me.    Written letter notifying them that I closed my account.  They said not received.  Should have sent a certified letter.   Now Shina Pierce cancel my account and said my total owed was 22.70.  But send an email stated 44.40.  I don't understand how this company is in business.  Total rip off.

Now I have to resend letter; but this time certified.

I went o the gym and told the manager I wanted to cancelled because we (wife and i) just don't have the time to go anymore. I was given an email and was told to send an email and they would get back in 5 minutes.  It has been 2 weeks and no response yet.  They were very happy to sign us up and take our money but play to many games to cancel our membership.  I wonder if I cancel my credit card would that stop them from robbing me without a gun?  Any legal measures I can take?  Now they have charge me 3 months and I don't want to be given another game again.

My wife and I had each had a membership. In July of 2015 due to back injury I cancelled one (or I was told it was cancelled).  We were then billed twice the annual dues this year as if we still had two memberships. Now mind you when have been paying for only one membership since July last year.  You would assume that meant your cancellation went through.

I asked for my refund of the one annual dues and was refused all the way up the chain because I did not submit a cancellation form which I was never told I needed.

My advice is do not join Blast.  They are run by children and have no training. Yes equipment is not repaired or cleaned properly.

I have been trying to get my $500 back for 3 weeks now. I have email the PT manager and call Blast fitness several time and still have spoken or gotten my money back. They took out $100 bi- weekly for the last three months for  a personal Trainer that is no longer work for them and I injured myself at work so I can't even start working out with no trainer anyway. Never worked out with a Personal trainer a blast fitness at all. They just got my money so do anyone know what I can do.

Blast fitness is not your Friend...i called them on the phone to have my cancelation paper ready so that i can mail it to the corp. office and when i arrived they told me that I didn't need a cancelation form and for me to come back the next day and a manager will cancel my membership on the spot. i left the Gym very upset however i called the corporate office and i was told i needed a cancelation form in which i can get from the gym, i explained that i did all that and that they refuse to give me one. so she suggested i send corp. an email to cancel and i did now i should be ok. DO NOT GO TO BLAST FITNESS OFF SHEPHERD IN HOUSTON TEXAS. find a better Gym to go to.

Doesn't look like it matterts where you. None of them want to cancel your membership. Seems like all these reviews would make it to some legal recourse?

I am tried to cancel for Months, some lady gave me a number. I call the number only to tell me I have to ask the manager for her to cancel my subscription. I am going back and forward at this point I don’t know what to do. I don’t want to be charge every Month if I don’t go to the gym anymore. This place sucks please don’t subscribe to this gym is all a lie. I was supposed only to have 3 Months a trainer for my son they continue charging me for that.
