Citizens of Earth! Flee DirecTv! (Die-Wreck-TV)
Do not be enticed by any of their pernicious lies about the great entertainment experiences you will enjoy -- their media offerings are mediocre at best. There are only so many times you can watch the "Independence Day" or "The Knife Channel" (Yep, The Knife Channel)
Would you like your wallet and credit raped? You would? OK, then get DirecTv!
Do you enjoy lengthy on-hold sessions while being shunted from one "representative" to another across the globe? (then hung on?) You do? Then get DirecTv!
Their customer service is AN ATROCITY and should be declared a violation of human rights under some sort of UN treaty -- Like the Hotel California, they are programmed to receive: YOUR MONEY -- nothing else -- you will spend many hours listening to horribly distorted on-hold music while you contemplate the slow, agonizing deaths of DirecTv executives. It will all be in vain, as they will waste no time in submitting your account to a COLLECTION AGENCY who will harass you on a daily basis with robo-calls. Then, you will have to call that agency numerous times, again listening to ear-shredding on-hold music until someone there connects the dots to the fact you already paid DirecTV with a credit card over the phone, not because you felt the charge was just or fair, but simply to bring a merciful end to the harassment.
Oh, wait, there's more! Do you know why these [***] send you to collection? Because they will pull the data card out of the receiver that you returned to them about TWO YEARS AGO and they will "find" $50 worth or Pay-Per-View movies "on there" that YOU DID NOT PAY FOR!?! Huh? OK, so let's get this straight:
1) PAY all your bills on time with DirecTV
2) RETURN all the equipment, on time and in good condition
3) THEIR TECHNOLOGY FAILS to report your "purchases" to their headquarters, so a couple of years later they data mine the data card in your receiver and send the "account" to COLLECTIONS?
OK, fellow citizens, this is customer ABUSE of the worst sort and HIGHEST DEGREE.
What will YOU do?
Well, I, for one, shall:
FOREVER hold DirecTV in utter contempt.
FOREVER make it MY HOBBY TO WARN my fellow humans about this MOST HORRIBLE COMPANY ON THE PLANET = DirecTv. Flee them, and warn everyone you know. They are the like the Borg, and they want to assimilate your bank account.
Thus ends the first exposition of my "Manifest of Hatred" for DirecTV.
With their business model, I am sure they will eventually have to do something like Comcast did when they renamed their company to Xfinity and removed all traces of the word "Comcast" from everything they could reach out and touch. It's the only hope for a company that angers and alienates everyone they come in contact with.
