several times I have received an automated telephone call asking to reduce credit card balances. Twice I hit one to get information about the caller.
Both times they said that their company was "card services" and they dealt with mastercard, visa, etc. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, and asked them to remove me from their call list, they hung up.

I had the same experience twice- the first time they hung up... the second time they stayed on the line as I baited them in... never told me the real name of the company... kept saying card services- but once I got the operator talking he was not able to hand up until i did.... he pleaded with me to hang up the phone finally he was able to disconnect the call...

    Upset victim of harrassment
I had the same thing happen to me...twice!  When I tried to call back any numbers that were either on the caller ID or that were given to me, they all led to "number no longer in service".  The first time that they called, I heard them out and let them check one of my accounts.  They begged me to "sign up with them" as I would surely save 2500. for a little fee of 995.00 but I proceeded to ask a lot of questions.  I could not get a name of this so-called "card services" firm from them, either.  Finally they said that they were Kema Debt Solutions which turned out to be a lie.  I ended up saying "thanks but no thanks" and they hung up VERY quickly.  I cancelled my credit card immediately (will be issued a new one) and put a fraud alert on my credit record which is immaculate.  These people need to be stopped at once!

    Frustrated to no end
My first call from these guys, I thought there was something wrong with my card. Once I knew they were trying to get me to sign up for a credit card or something, the guy, "Michael" started saying perverted obscene stuff. He wouldn't hang up though.

Since then I’ve been putting a trace on each call; hang up and dial *57. Unfortunately, it seems that there is a long procedure for getting the name of the company/owner of the number to be released. You have to have 3 calls traced, more than one call needs to be threatening or obscene, and you have to go through a convoluted documentation process which include working with local law enforcement.

This is total BS. The phone companies have provided a loophole for fraudulent people to verbally assault me on a daily basis with little to no recourse. These jerks are HARASSING ME even after they know I won’t sign up for their scam!!!

    WTF!!!

I have been getting calls from the same 'company' (whoever they are) for at least a year, and now the frequency of their calls is increasing to about 3-4 times a week.  Initially, I pushed a number to talk with a representative and asked them not to call again and remove my name from their calling list; the representative promply hung-up.  Sometimes a number will appear on caller ID, and other times, it will appear as an 'unknown' caller.  I have talked with some of my friends about this and they are receiving the same type of phones calls.  This 'company' has to be stopped, because, I am certain they are calling millions of individuals all over the U.S. and perhaps the world.  I am going to look into reporting them to the FCC and see if they can do anything about it.  I don't have a lot of faith in government agencies, but this particular situation is out of control. I am also going to record their message when they first call (I will also advise the automated message that I am recorded their phone call).  Not sure what can be done, but something must be.
