Lowering my credit card interest rates

Someone called me today from a 295 local number.  Two men with accents got on the phone stating they can lower my master card interest rates to 6%.  I was very skeptical of them and asked where they were calling from.  they said card member services and proceeded to ask me for my credit card information.  I refused to give this to them and they said they will call me back Monday.  Clearly this is a scam and I hope you can look into this further to see who is doing this.
