On Thursday, June 7, 2012, at approximately 3:30 me and my nephew went to Red Lobster which is located on Xaiver Drive, Yonkers, NY to have Lunch/Dinner and when we entered we were escorted to a nice table by a window and the Caucasion young male that we had gave us the menu's but did not explain anything about the three menu's he gave us. We ordered our drinks and when he finally came back with the drinks 10 mins later and he also placed a basket of  biscuits which were on a big napkin that covered the biscuits. The waiter left for a few minutes because he wanted to give us time to look at menu's, but in the meantime while we were looking at the menu's we noticed that there was no Plate(s) for us to eat the biscuits and also no Silverware or Napkins on the table. We broke off a pieces of the Napkin where the biscuits were and started eating them. When the waiter came back, I asked him for Napkins and he asked me if we wanted Plates for the Biscuits, I just stared at him and then I said yes. When the Lobster Bisque Soup arrived and we did get a Spoon to eat with but still no Forks did he bring out. When our stuffed mushrooms with crab and lobster came out I also had scallops wrapped with bacon and also Rubbery Fried Clams that I could not eat, but still no Forks. What kind of Waiter do not set a table with Fork and Spoon setup with Napkins and do not explain the special of the day or telling customers about the menu's. This was not a good Server and the Food was Salty and Clams was Rubbery. I wont order these foods every again from the Appetizer Menu.

I never had a problem there and I've been dining there since they opened. It is quite possible that since you ordered appetizers, which are generally finger foods you did not require silverware. I am under the impression that you did not notice the server picking up the silverware once you placed your order (which tends to be done discretely since you obviously were a party of 2). In fact, if you wanted silverware it would not hurt to ask for it, a server is there to serve you with the best quality experience possible. In any event, if the rubbery food was your main issue, the server only serves you the dish you request and is not responsible for the preparation.

Have you eaten there before and not tipped appropriately? If you tipped less than 15%, 18 to 20% would be better, then believe me the staff remembers you and they couldn't care less if you're satisfied. This is how servers earn a living. If you don't want to tip appropriately, don't dine out.

The wait staff is very nice but disorganized. THE FOOD IS INEDIBLE, salty, floating in butter and not cooked.  I had to ask the manager to redo the broiled seafood platter and after waiting a long time, the new broccoli was raw, and there was no improvement on the rest of the meal.  How do they stay in business???
