Lift recliner leg rest

I purchased a Lazy-boy lift recliner and it was delivered Sept. 4, 2018. The chair I tried in the store had the leg rests extend straight out when tested.  The chair I received only allows the leg rest to extend about 80%.  I notice a complaint was filed by June in 2009.  Seems the problem still exists.  I have been a Laz-boy fan for over 20 years and always had great faith in their products.  I’m sorry I purchased the chair I have now.  Where did their pride in workmanship go?
