Please stop your phone calls to Fred or Lynda Stephens. I did not complete filling our your forms as I discovered there was a fee connected.  We have registered with the Do Not Call through the FCC, and if your calls do not cease by 10-15-09 you will be reported to the FCC.  Thank you in advance for your immediate cooperation.

    I agree with tj.....DirectBuy doesn't take their phone calls/messages seriously. You could also fax an advanced copy of this letter to them as well. Keep written documentation of your phone calls with them. If you verbally asked DirectBuy to stop calling you, I believe they have 6 months to update their do not call list records. They will continue harrassing you by phone if you don't put your foot down. I wish you well. Keep us updated on this website. If we all work together, DirectBuy will be shut down.

      Here is an update on both of my lawsuits against Direct Buy and Marketing Decisions, Inc.  Marketing Decisions is on Attorney #2- the HORSE ATTORNEY tghey hired in SOUTH TEXAS DIDN'T QUITE WORK OUT....>>LMFAO!!!!!!!!!  Direct Buy is using the same attorney as Marketing Decisions.  I will be more than likely refiling in a differant court with a higher jurisdictional monetary limit and reamending my complaint to add some things.  I plan on pursuing these people all the way. The attorney for Direct Buy is about 2 years out of law school.  I will have fun dealing with her.  The other attorney has more experience but I think in the end, he knows what his clients are GUILTY of and this will get resolved one way or the other.

      I will post more updates soon.  Again, if anyone needs help against these people, please contact me for assistance.  I would love to get a class action together against them and BANKRUPT THEM ONCE AND FOR ALL.  Direct BUY has A TERRIBLE REPUTATION ALL OVER THE COUNTRY- THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN FOR GOOD!!!!!  I have a surprise coming for them REALLY SOON!!!  Please stay abreast of this column.

    DO *NOT* JOIN DIRECTBUY IN COLUMBUS!!!! This place is such a total scam!

    I just saw a commercial for a DirectBuy $50,000 home makeover contest. Just so you know, the winner of the contest is getting a home makeover paid for with $5,000 of my family's hard earned money. I hope you enjoy your home make over while my family goes hungry because DirectBuy ripped me off!!!

    We went to their location in Worthington and didn't join because of their HIGH PRESSURE TACTICS!!! They said we could only join then or NEVER. We didn't join and decided to test their "one time only" tactics and went to their other location in Hilliard and joined a year later only to have them shut down without any notice in 2009 and run off with our $5,000 membership! We then shopped at their other location by the airport only to have it shut down in 2010 without any notice. This place is just ripping you off of your $5,000 membership. It's a pyramid scheme at its finest!!!! They lied about the join "now or never policy" and then they ran off with my money. RUN!!!!! DO NOT JOIN DIRECT BUY IN COLUMBUS!!!! I have no doubt they will try to open again in Columbus sometime soon. It's all about the greed of getting other people to join and then running off with their money. I did some research. Just Google what happend to DirectBuy in California to see that what I'm saying is true. They don't do what they promise and if you become a member then you are throwing your money away!!

    I have a question regarding these unwanted phone calls from Direct Buy clubs.  Has anyone recieved a phone call where the caller id phone number shows up as 000-000-0000?

    Thankyou in advance.  I plan on suing them so any information anyone might have would be greatly appreciated.

    Direct Buy is an organizaqtion that BREAKS the LAW REPEATEDLY and hires FOREIGNERS to work in their CALL CENTERS OVERSEAS! This is one of the reasons why people keep on getting constantly HARRASSED by these people.  The 3rd lawsuit of mine INVOLVING DIRECT BUY is one against MARKETING DECISIONS AND DAVID M. WAGNER and HEATHER WAGNER, out of NEVADA.  They run a CORRUPT CALL CENETR that Direct Buy HIRES to do their illegal calling and telemarketing to people- probably most of the people in this post have been HARRASSED by this company.  Anyway, Marketing Decisions, Inc. hires and uses FOREIGN CALL CENTERS int eh PHILLIPPINES to make ILLEGAL REPEATED, HARRASSING PHONE CALLS.  I have them on audio recording calling me more than 6 times in about 10 minutes and one of the times when I requested a supervisor, the FOREIGNER called me an "[***]" and then hung up on me.  Then he has the FRIGGIN AUDACITY to call me RIGHT BACK!! Can you believe that?  Needless to say, I have recordings of ALL THOSE CALLS and intitiated a lawsuit against both Direct Buy and Marketing Decisions, Inc.  and David Wagner.


    I am proud to say that I have 2 CURRENT LAWSUITS AGAINST DIRECT BUY CORPORATION for a multitude of reasons.  However, they seem to be DUCKING service of process.  I will update soon with results when they finally get served.  I am going for the MAXIMUM PENALTIES against THESE SCUMBAGS!!!!

      I have gotten calls from someone at Direct Buy and I have never even gone to one of their stores.  I don't even own a home!  Every time I answer my cell phone (I am also registered with the Do Not Call Registry) once I tell them not to call me, they just hang up - they are so rude!  The call I got today was from another country - it was only 4 digits showing on my cell phone.

    I know in Texas, the limit for a small claims suit is $10,000.00. This amount varies by state, but I can guarantee you it's worth pursuing Direct Buy or Marketng Decisions, Inc. to stop this CRAP from happening to you.

    Unfortunately for the authors of the above comments, all of their allegations are completely false, libelous and made with outright malicious intent.  Furthermore, neither of the posts above contain true information nor can they prove a simple allegation or support any statements with facts.
    I was targeted by a few malicious parties that will try and do anything to discredit me.  I happen to be a Texas licensed mediator, as well as a trained paralegal (U.S. Navy).  My professional background includes experience in real estate, mortgages and insurance.

      Pit bull Consumers Advocates was a service related internet based company started by Roger Fountain around 2009-2010.  The intention was to assist consumers with issues/problems that involved typical consumer issues, such as lemon laws, all types of negotiation, debt collector and telemarketer harassment, mediation, criminal record expungement, defamation, online harassment ,defamation, etc- real services that the average person may need at some point in their lives. My services were not meant nor intended to be, construed as legal advice and that was made crystal clear on the website and any paperwork signed by the client prior to beginning work. I worked with a few local Dallas attorneys for problems that were out of my scope of business.  

      Pitbull Consumer Advocates was no different than what some mediators state they specialize in- except that I would take on small situations and was typically hands on ,  out in the field and cost significantly less than the average mediator or attorney.  I saw a need and a niche opportunity to provide solutions with the small issues- it just made no sense to let people struggle alone with no help.

      For personal reasons, such as work/family balance, I decided to discontinue Pitbull Consumer Advocates about 2 years afterwards opening. There was great personal satisfaction when solutions were obtained for my clientele.

      Some of the companies/ individuals that were the subject of my services absolutely DID NOT like what I did.  In fact, some tried turning me into the state for practicing law without a license, etc. This strategy failed miserably for them. I continued to assist consumers wherever I could.  In turn, some of these individuals decided if they couldn t stop me- they would harass, slander and maliciously defame my good name and my business- however they could. Fortunately, for these weak individuals, the internet is literally an anonymous playground for these types.  As most readers already know, a person can post and hide anonymously like a coward would and do it from any computer, anywhere. I am happy to say that their tactics didn't work and even backfired on some of them as they had to defend their actions in a court of law.  

      Unfortunately, while the negative content is online, all allegations are/were completely false, libelous and made with outright malicious intent.  Furthermore, this  false information or statements/allegations simply can't be substantiated with facts. I was targeted  by a few malicious parties that did anything to discredit my name.

      I feel it necessary to clarify my background and professional credentials. My credentials include a bachelors Degree, certification as a Texas mediator, and training as a paralegal (U.S. Navy).  My professional background includes experience in starting and selling businesses, real estate, mortgage (specializing in loss mitigation at a Fortune 500 company) insurance, and continuation as a very successful Pro Se litigant (specializing in FDCPA, TX Finance Code and the TCPA).

      It must also be noted that its not the smartest idea to take everything on the internet as the truth.  Any questions or concerns for anyone who may know me or has/needs to research me or my previous company, I suggest personally reaching out to me for answers.  Thank You!
