both refrigerators broken

Purchased 2 whirlpool refrigerators 3 years ago.  One for my son and daughter-in-law and one for us.  My son's died 2 times in one year and the ice maker stopped completely 1 month after 1 year warranty expired.  I purchased an extended warranty.  Mine less than 3 years old - now having to work through extended warranty company, United Service Protection, Inc - terrible, terrible, company.  Expect to take at least 30 minutes to get through.  2 weeks since complaint - first they send out a tech that figures compressor is shot but is not certified to fix it.  So have to get a different service rep to fix.  One week later and still waiting for someone to come out and fix it.
Don't buy Whirlpool - complete garbage and zero customer service.
