I received an email from a law firm about a debt that I supposedly received from a loan company called ace loan advance and that I owed them 1,285.50 and if I didnt pay by 5/1/2019 that garnishment of my wages would start immediately and that I already have a warrent for my arrest and that they cant do anything about me getting arrested because it's already ordered by a judge but they will give me one more chance before they take my wages they even explained in an email what was going to happen before I was arrested and what happened after my arrest I knew right away it was a scam I played along for a sec and he gave me a number to call it's funny cause once you really look at what they write in this so called court ordered document I realized my name was never written anywhere and the creditors name was not in the email as well when something looks a little off trust your gut

I received the 1st email from them 9/29/19 stating the same as others have.  I have gone back and forth with them stating this was a scam and also I was contacting my attorney.  They have threatened to have me arrested among other things.

Can someone please let me know your outcome.

I just received this email as well.  I responded to them to take me to court.  I've never borrowed money for Ace Cash Express.  I have yet to get a response from them.  They told me I owed $1423.13 and will settle for $490.27 and it has to be paid in full by today.  I told them When COVID-19 is over we can settle this in court.

I received an email today from the Andrew Law Firm stating they were going to garnishment my wages.  The email did not state who the company was or and amount. It had a case number but my name is nowhere on the email.  Does anyone have any more information on this?

I was asked to buy an amercian express gift card or send a western union and make the payment to keeshunda mickles or they are going to garnsh my wages and have a warrant for my arrest and they don't except any other forms of payment and did not give me their office address. They said they are from Andrew Law firm and I owe ACE Express Loans. I contacted ACE and they don't show me owing them.

Only scammers ask you to pay with gift cards (or wire the money).

I got the same email 1 from Andrew law firm and 1 from a federal collection team.  Saying to pay on a prepaid debit card to avoid personal information. Or that I would have my check garnished n or go to prison. How do I report the scam?

www.ic3.gov . www.consumerfinance.gov … your state attorney general.  If you have an address, contact that state's BAR ASSOCIATION since it is highly unlikely they are lawyers, yet they claim to be (illegal).

I just received an email threatening garnishment if I did not pay.  SCAM
    Case File #: SN/0T9619M
Legal Charges- Section 19(A), Clause 21(US).
Case Format- Fair Debt Collection Act 811 (FC/SC)
Last Date of Lawsuit: July 10th, 2020
Settlement Amount: $480.00 for Today or two payments of $290.00 from Today.
    Dear Debtor,
This letter is to notify you that we have received a Summons of Garnishment on your wages. This means that someone you owe money to has been awarded a judgment by the court for payment of the debt. The court has ordered us your employer to deduct 25% percent of your disposable earnings and make payment to the court on your behalf. The following applies to you:
    Before you are arrested
If you pay in full, or make a part-payment before you are arrested, the warrant will be recalled and amended. However, it will be immediately re-issued if the debt is not paid in full.
    After you are arrested
Once the warrant has been served, your only options are to serve the time in prison or pay the debt (plus costs) in full at the court house.
If you want to stop the garnishment deductions from your pay check, you must obtain a release or pay the entire amount you owe, which you can pay with the help of One Vanilla Prepaid Card and American Express Prepaid Card in order to close this account.
    What is garnishment?
Garnishment is a legal process that allows a creditor to remove funds from your [bank]/ [credit union] account to satisfy a debt that you have not paid. In other words, if you owe money to a person or company, they can obtain a court order directing your bank to take money out of your account to pay off your debt. If this happens, you cannot use that money in your account.
Why am I receiving this notice?
On July 4th 2020 we received a garnishment order from a court to [freeze/remove] funds in your account. The amount of the garnishment order was for $1045.00. We are sending you this notice to let you know what we have done in response to the garnishment order. You can contact your creditor for settlement amount.
If you have any questions about the garnishment, you should contact the persons named on the included Summons of Garnishment by email.
    Sincerely,
    Jerry Adams
