Offering free grant of 9000

I received a call telling me because I am such a wonderful citizen the government wants to give me a 9000 grant I never have to repay and I don't need to pay anything. The lady then told me I need to buy an Apple gift card for 250 because Apple is the one paying my grant to me on behalf of the government. I said I knew it is a scam because I was reading about it while she was talking and I also told her I was not interested and hung up. When you didn't apply for a grant you should know your not getting one. The government does not have lotteries to hand out money and you never pay to receive something your supposedly getting free
