I was also charge to my debit card a charge of $149.99 with Digital Star +442 +44208123737, when I called B of A they said it was for tickets of sorts. They cancelled my card and now I have to wait for the charge to finalize before I can call the Banks Claims Dept. to have the charge reimbursed...what a pain in the you know what!

Numerous similar reports of fraudulent charges are being reported on other threads.  It appears that "Digital Star Ltd." was "dissolved" on Jan. 29, 2012.  It looks like their merchant account is now under control of criminals submitting fraudulent charges.

    Main thread:

If you are getting fraudulent charges, IMMEDIATELY block the card number, and submit a fraud dispute to your bank.  Your bank can reverse fraudulent charges if you dispute promptly.Reply !

Yup they got me too.  $149.99 from digital star +208123737 through my B of A debit card.  I saw it Thursday when I had a transaction for a large amount declined.  Upon looking at my account through online banking I discovered the pending charge. Called B of A... The least accommodating bank EVER BTW and they said because it was still pending I had to wait until it went through and call back in 72 hours.  Waited the weekend only to discover today that it had gone through and upon googling it found out I was not the only victim.  B of A made me file a dispute I have to wait 10 days for the money to be returned to my account.  I am sooo livid.  I loathe thieves. I hope these jerks get busted and go to jail for a long time.  Oh AND B of A slipped and told me they had been recycling card numbers, but had recently stopped. Really??? I wonder if that could have had something to do with it.

Let them know what you think of their debit cards by blocking them.

Use only credit cards for online or retail purchases.  The banks are more proactive in protecting their money than yours.

Same thing happened to me with a $149.99 charge on boa credit card on 2/16/2012. It was Digital Star. Only two online places that I used card was Amazon and PSN (play station network). I figured it was PSN due to I purchased games online straight through new sony vita console for the first time.  Plus knowing that games and movies are being purchased constantly through play station using an account linked to either debit or credit card. Most people especially children order these not even thinking  about the card linked to the account. I have been reading all the complaints and info and I don't think it's making purchases online. Some people haven't even used the card that was compromised online at all. Has been either debit or credit card several different banks and some cards used online some not. Amazon started out being the common thread because it is the biggest online retailer. From  all the info it has to be somebody running card numbers and expiration dates until they find a match. Probably computerized system.

I would expect that if this was related to Playstation, that that would show up in complaints more frequently, similar to the many Amazon recent usage reports.  People have a pretty good idea how they use their cards, and assume any theft is related to recent usage.

In particular, the suspicion regarding Sony is already out there, since Sony's online gaming site has already been hacked, and that fact is well known.

I have a Canadain Sears MasterCard administered by Chase Bank.  Two charges by Digital Star +44208123 for 77.08 on Feb 4 and 76.70 on Feb 19 appeared on my statement.  I had no clue who they were but  luckily I found this board....thank you!  i have not made any purchases from amazon or any other on-line vendor for a long time, so I'm not sure where these fraudsters got my credit card number from.

I called Chase Bank today, 02/22/12.  They had no clue as what was going on!  Chase wanted me to call Digital Star to dispute the  charges .  I told them I could not do that because i didn't  have any dealing with them and I did not have a phone number for them.  Then Chase told me that they thought that Digital was affiliated with Rogers Communications in Canada.  I am sure that Rogers will be surprised to hear that! I told them that I had no dealings with Rogers either.  So, after I told them that the message boards on the WEB were swamped with complaints concerning Digital Star they immedialetly cancelled my card. They told me to deduct the 2 charges from the total on my statment.

I hope the banks and the credit card companies get together soon to deal with this as it is very disconcerting.
