Cheapoair,
Sir,
Subject: Regarding ticket booking issue
I booked my tickets to Copenhagen on December 21st 2012. The Booking number is – 14342768 and the E ticket number is: 1082579499584/85. The customer care agent Princess helped me to book the ticket.
I asked the agent about visas before booking the ticket and she said that I would not require a US visa for this flight. Because of this assurance, I did not investigate visa requirements any further, since I had no reason to doubt the advice given to me by Princess.
When I arrived at Vancouver airport (on 10th Feb 2013) I was shocked when I was told by the airline that I need a US Visa because the flight stopped in Seattle on the way to Copenhagen. Then I had to buy an expensive ticket to Copenhagen in a different flight. That cost me $1990. I received a 466 dollars refund for cancelling my ticket. But I do not feel that this was enough.
Being a student from a poor family this is very huge amount for me to afford, but the trip to Copenhagen is a required program for my degree and if I did not go I would not be able to graduate.
I was not given the correct information and I feel that I was cheated by the agent. It would be very helpful if you can look into this issue and help me get my money refunded.
Thank you,
