I received a call explaining that I could cancel after I received the smail mail describing the benefits.  The call was on March 25 and the charge was made on March 31.  I was told I had 14 days to cancel.

Call them to cancel immediately, then dispute their unauthorized charge through your bank.  They said they would charge only after a trial period, but they did not honor the trial period, in violation of their own terms.

If you haven't received any "information packet" before the charges appeared, that is little surprise, since without contact information, it is difficult to cancel.  Your bank should have a contact number in connection with the charge.

You will have to close your account to prevent additional fraud.

The Senate Commerce Committee has held hearings on this and similar "discount club" scam companies, and the New York Attorney General is investigating them.

The company behind "MVQ Benefits" is Vertrue/Adaptive Marketing.
