Poor customer Service

I wanted to make you aware of the poor service I received from Direct TV this past weekend. I was a returning customer in hopes of continuing a great relationship with Direct TV when I placed my order. I was suppose to have a technician come out Saturday August 24, 2013 to set up my new service between the hours of 12pm to 4pm. When I realized the technician was late I called I was told he was definitely coming today however it kept getting later and I apologized to the company I had over at my house and advised them they should find another place to watch the Dallas Cowboys game because it didn’t look like I was getting TV service that day. After speaking with at least 10 reps on Saturday I was finally told I would have to reschedule my appointment to Sunday August 25th between the hours of 12 to 4pm and I would receive a $50 credit for the inconvenience. I sat in my living room all afternoon waiting and when it passed 4pm I called to see what the excuse was this time. I was told a technician came out and tried to call me but both my wife’s and my phones were conveniently not working and there was no voicemail set up on our phones(which is not true and if the technician really had showed up he never knocked on my door). When I spoke to customer service they told me they would give me another $50 credit and I would have to wait until next Tuesday September 3rd. I have finally had enough I heard a thousand apologies and excuses and gave up on Direct TV and canceled my order. Direct TV stole my weekend from me and made me a prisoner in my own home all of Saturday and Sunday. I hope my story gets to someone who can address my issues because I am disappointed that I will not have Direct TV because I was looking forward to have the Sunday ticket this year and it will take some time before I ever want to switch back to Direct TV. I was forced to go back to ATT because unlike Direct TV technicians they actually show up when promised and they know how a door bell works.
