Unremovable telemarketing calls

They do the same here.  It starts out w/a recording.  This is credit card services, to lower your credit card rates, you have an outstanding blah, blah, blah. (Which I have no issues w/my credit card)
Press one to speak to a representative, press 2 to be removed.  Well when pressing 2, you hear nothing but a hang up. Then they call you again in a few days.  So annoying.  It didn't work.  

So I get the call again, and I said I'll press 1, this time for a live person and to remove myself  with a live person.  Well, as soon as I've asked the guy can you remove me kindly.  He just hangs up rudely, this  always happens.

I know you can sue telemarketers. But I can't seem to get the number there calling from to make the steps (I don't have caller ID.)  However, I hope they get caught and be punished, they deserve it.  They are rude, mean and they bother me with unwanted calls while I am busy, in the morning etc...
