Flight Disappeard. Caused Two Weeks of Stress.

What a stressful company to do business with. Booked a flight from St. John's to Ottawa on a Saturday. Everything looked fine. Travel Itinerary was sent, confirmation number, flight times were accurate. In the middle of the night while I was away from my computer I received an urgent email regarding a change in flight times that needed a confirmation reply immediately. It was 4 in the morning!!! I didn't read the message until 2 the next afternoon. It stated if I never agreed to the change in time I could risk losing the $527.00 ticket price which was non-refundable, I agreed to the time change and then my departing flight COMPLETELY DISAPPEARED from the travel Itinerary. Refreshed the site and it was completely gone. Figured I had to pay 50 dollars for insurance so I did. Still nothing. Called the airline - no record. Visited the website - nothing. By some miracle the info was in the computer at the airport. Thought everything was fine. The night before my flight I checked on the return flights. Again nothing at the airline. The airport did have the info luckily enough. I went through two weeks of stress over this. The reason for my travel was because I was having surgery and the dates I chose were not flexible. If the airport never had the info I was screwed. Tried calling cheapOair customer service but I never even got an answer. I was waiting for 45 minutes.
I am writing this as a warning to everybody - save yourself the stress and book through a reputable airline service. If it costs you a hundred dollars or a couple hundred more DO IT. The stress is not worth it. Forget about trying to save yourself a few dollars (which with insurance I didn't save anything at all) and book through the actual airline company. I will NEVER use CheapOair again.
