Chips looks brown

I have a concern with chips that are sold in town and one sold in sub urban areas. the ones in town look dull, brown and old. I went to Westville and bought same meal but their chips look crispy fresh and clear in colour. my conclusion is that in town they are using old cooking oil. and I mean all the ones in town, Durban West street, smith all and this is not the first time I am noticing this, please can we have this sorted out
