10th call like this today!

It's obvious this is a phony blank number used to get around caller ID's
This is an incessant scumbag attempting to extract personal data.
These people should be rounded up and sent to Guantanamo.

    Your choices are probably:
    1)  Ignore them until they stop calling.
    2)  File a complaint with FTC for Do Not Call and autodialer TSR violations.
    3)  Keep answering until you can get enough information to find out who to file a complaint against.

    If you have Comcast Digital Voice -you can block this number. That is what I am going to do!

    Or you could use ColdCallBlocker, hell of a program that will allow you to block any person from contacting you =P

    I got this gal calling me and telling me I an not qualified for ???  I couldn't understand her because there was noisy background which she is speaking with me.  I asked her what is she talking about.  She didn't try to turn off noise background and kept on talking to me over phone.  So I said what are you talking about and I hang up on her and I never heard from her again.

    How do I get Cold Call Blocker?!!  This number is driving me crazy.  They call in the morning, they call in the evening, they call during the day -- on Sunday, on Christmas.... they need to get a life and stop calling me!

    Sick & tired of this B.S.!  If you are too, go to the www.donotcall.gov & register a complaint.  I just did & will continue to do so every single time I get a call from those B-ST-RDS! "Can I have a vowel, Pat?"

    I am older and technologically unsophistated -- not unintelligent, mind you ... just not tech savvy.  So please don't make fun of this next question, but:  Is there any chance that simply answering the phone "confirms" any type of personaly information that could lead to identity theft?  Or are the calls just a nuisance?

    I keep getting calls from this number, 2-3 times per day for a couple of weeks, but they never say anything.  I have tried calling back, just to find out who they are, but the number is ALWAYS busy.  I guess I will file a complaint with the Attorney General's office, as we are already on the "Do not call list".

    Are you in Arizona? I have been getting several calls daily (they leave hang-up messages), and finally answered today. I was able to get the caller to tell me he was calling on behalf of Governor Janet Napolitano. I told him to stop calling me as I'm a registerd Rep and not a supporter of our governor. We'll see if it works!

    Comcast digital voice includes a call screening option - free
    it essentially blocks calling number by stating no calls are being taken. Other providers may have a similar option ?

    I live in NY and am having the same problem...I hardly ever pick up and when I do, nothing. I am not really sure what the point is if they are not going to speak! I just added my cell to the Do Not Call list. I had something similar once before, I think it was the same number (calling several times), but they were attempting a credit card scam...they had my cc number, but were calling me by my maiden name and wanted my new address. I hung up right away. My only advice is to not give any info, just hang up!

    They call every day and when I'm unable to answer, they don't leave a voicemail. When I do talk to them, I tell them to do not call me anymore so they wait a day and call again. They call weekends too. I do not care about your survey. Grrr.

    This is from SEIU.  Their corporate number s 800-424-8592 and the legal department is x 7168.  Call this number and have the legal department remove you from their call list

      It is not from SEIU or any other union. When I questioned the caller further about using the Local 100 TWC number she told me it was a business organization

    After getting called from SEIU every day... seven days a week (including) Sundays... I called SEIU at 800-424-8592 and connected with x7186 which is their legal department to give them my phone numbers and ask that they please stop the calls!  They said that they would... We'll see???

    BTW - 95% of the calls that come in with caller ID 877-888-8888 have no one on the line... It's usually just dead!  I wait for someone to come on, but usually no one does.  Yesterday (Sunday) they called at night and my wife asked who was calling... they said Service Employees International Union.  I have no clue why an employees union would be called, since I have no association with them... Now on to post a complaint on the DNC gov list!
