I recieved this pressure washer for christmas and have used the unit less than 5 times with less than three hours usage total. I have had some minor issues with screws falling out and such but now the pump is out. Home Depot and Husky Pressure washers who are well aware of the issue with this model are either unwilling or unable to help. I think that it is absolutely ridiculous to recieve so little assistance from either company when there have been such long standing issues with the pump on these units. My model number is HU80722 with serial number AL1960101. They should replace the pump or the unit no questions asked because they were all defective from the start. I will most likely no longer do any business with Home Depot due to the extremely poor customers service. I have tried more than a dozen times to reach husky pressure washers and when I do reach a representative they hang up when I give them my model number and issue.

I bought my husky 80722 from Home Depot over 2 1/2 hrs ago. I used it twice, everything was ok, then went to start it the next spring and it went clunk!! Home Depot said not to return it to the store. I called husky several times and they said to take it to this shop about 50 miles away. I wasn't able to as I became disabled and the warranty ran out. as I see it the pumps run about $170 without shipping, the washer is $319, my money and time may be better spent at some other store and some other brand. Good news travels fast, bad news travels faster!             Steve S

I have had the same issue with Husky 80722(no pressure after 1 use). This is a wide spread issue that Husky and Home Depot knows and allow it to go on. We all should file a complain with BBB and a class action lawsuit on this product and these companies. This is the way for customer to fight back these big companies. Please keep everyone posted.

We have the Husky gas pressure washer HU 80722. We have called Home Depot to only get left on hold and finally given a number to call Husky.  The machine is not even firing. Please tell us who to call. We have had the washer for 2 1/2 years this is the first time we've had problems.

I have the same problem as everybody else. The motor will start fine, but the pump will not work under pressure. I have been tinkering with it some. I have taken the pump completely apart to try and figure out how this thing works. Pretty basic really, 6 flapper valves (3 in and 3 out), temp relief, pressure relief, and a slider valve. I believe at this point, the problem is with the slider valve not working correctly. When you remove the spring that pushes the slider valve, it will let pressure through. If you screw it back in while running, it will plug up again, and the pressure will stop.

I'm going to tinker with it more tomorrow, if I figure anything else out, I will post it here tomorrow.

Same problem as everyone else.  Thought I'd done something wrong.  Purchased this unit new last year, 2010, used it 1 or 2 times, stored it in my basement for the winter, and now no pressure.  It's the Husky, 1800s.  I took it apart myself today, but didn't want to go too far.  Be very curious to see what Rodmir found.   Think I'll goggle for more reliable units and go buy one.  Hold onto this one incase a CA starts.

I have the same problem as everybody else. The motor will start fine, but the pump will not work under pressure. Had it for approx 18 months. Used it about 10 times. Was using it and it was working fine turned it off and came back and started it and the pump didn't work. You tube had a video how to rebuild pump but could not fine rebuild kit. Found new pump for 64.00 at a small engine repair shop. Was told by them that the pump that I got was the third one that they have made to replace previous pumps with problems. Was told this one has not had any problems yet. Here is the number of the pump I got HM,308653025. Hope this helps you.

I have the same problem as all of the complaints above. Bought it new and have used it maybe 15 times. Started well yesterday. Then no pressure. Did all the trouble shooting suggestions in the manual but no luck. Husky has one more dissatisfied customer.

Same problem.  However, not sure if I would blame Home Depot.  They only sell it and without doubt...it is a faulty, trashy, and a cheap product.  I never seem to find anyone to take responsibly.  I paid $329.00 for the machine to work for 10 minutes.  GOOD NEWS!!!  Home depot stopped carrying it.

Same issue...honda engine starts fine but there is no pressure being given to the water except the hose pressure itself...too bad honda decided to let husky take their name and trash it with their product. I would try to rebuild it myself except for what I am reading here. And you are right...Home depot not to blame except for carrying a bad product sullying their name as well!
