Beware that Dillards' 3 day return policy is really a 2 day policy. I bought a dress late on Mar 16, and returned it on Mar 19, after my daughter found a different one she preferred. This was 3 days later by everyone's standards, but they refused. The computer had it already out of their system by that 3rd day. Every Dillards' salesperson and manager I spoke with were all in agreement, and were very trained to say, that the first day was the day I bought it. But this was after I was trying to return it, and with no sympathy expressed. No one bothered to point that out when I bought it. The salesperson was super friendly and chatty otherwise and definitely had time to warn me on that. I was so surprised, and frankly inconvenienced, by the 3 day return policy to begin with. I had never experienced that from a normal department store. But being told (when it was too late) that their 3 day policy was really a 2 day, was frustrating. Just say 2 day on the receipt next time. Or post a return-by date at the bottom of receipt so everyone is fairly warned.
