I took my car in on 7/07 for struts to be put on, I waited several hrs, when my "car was ready", I paid over $300.00 And left, I heard a noise shortly after I left, I called them back and the service guy said there was other "things" loose that needed to be tighten up.
I went home sure that it was not the struts, but of course the noise was still there, just like it was before I took it to Pep Boys, I called a few days later and they said the struts was put on the car and they were not the problem. The problem got so bad I thought the tires were going to come off or the motor might fall out. I took it to another mechanic and they right away called me into the service area and showed me no struts were ever placed on my car (well I was very shocked)they said a sticker had been put on the struts to make someone think they had been replaced, well I asked them to repair my car (because it was running horribly)but they said I should take it back and asked them to replace the struts.
I did, they refused and I went back to the other mechanic and paid them $1100.00 To repair my car. Never, never, never use Pepboys.
