I ordered a specific package I see online, as a gift for my mom. I wasn't there when they install, and they didn't install the package I spent 45 minutes on the phone ordering! I call to inquire and I'm basically told "too bad" this is the information we had on our order, yet they had no way to check on which representative took the order, and theres no way it could be their mistake. And I never got an email confirmation of my order. Of course I can "upgrade" for an additional $200. Can you say "bait and switch".

    File a consumer fraud complaint due to "bait and switch" with your local District Attorney's Consumer Fraud unit.

    I am planning to disconnect Direct TV service and they are telling me over the phone I own the dish, remotes and receivers.They will not put that in writing and I know they will send me a bill for $500.00 for each receiver I have. These item return scams are common throughout the cable and satellite TV business.
