Steven Leflar has AGAIN changed his business name and web site! First it was Star Sounds Productions, then Simply The Best Entertainment, then STB DJs, then DJ SRL, and now.... " Steven's Music " Of course he doesn't mention his name anywhere on his web site: www.stevensmusic.biz.
Avoid this criminal. Steven's Music has ripped off over 20 bands, musicians,DJs, and vendors for a total of over $200,000. He has been found guilty of theft twice (so far) in Contra Costa County. He has since fled to the Elk Grove area. He is now doing business with Eric Symons, whom he inserted as "owner" of Simply The Best Entertainment to hide his identity and keep bill collectors away. They operate in the Napa - Sonoma - Cotati - Sacramento areas.

Booking was made by Eric Symons, working with Leflar. Contract signed by Leflar.
Total judgement - $5200.00 awarded to Associated Entertainment (AE hired Big City Revue) Judgement entered on February 10, 2010.
Although still working under the names "Simply The Best Entertainment" and "Steven's Music", in the Sacramento and Napa areas, Leflar has not paid this debt. ==========================================================

Total judgement - $3600.00 awarded to Associated Entertainment (AE hired "Six and The City") Judgement entered on February 8, 2010.
Although still working under the names "Simply The Best Entertainment" and "Steven's Music", in the Sacramento and Napa areas, Leflar has not paid this debt. The George Ballard Collection has been hired to collect the judgements against Steven Leflar, and Steven's Music.

Eric Symons is a criminal. 'Simply the Best Entertainment' and 'Steven's Music', are organizations that work together to rip off musicians, DJs and other vendors in the music industry.
They use pirated software and music and have phoney licensing. Eric Symons and Steven Leflar are liars and theives. They have been stealing from musicians since 2008.

Summary of my 2009 unresolved payment due from Steve Leflar & Eric Symons
On January 9, 2009 I received a phone call from Eric Symons of North Bay Entertainment (NBE hereafter) to hire my band, Hot House for an event at Korbel Champagne, Guerenville, Ca. on July 11, 2009. On January 10 I received an email and contract from Crystal McLaughlin of NBE confirming all details. I mailed a signed copy of this contract to NBE, 4093 Concord Blvd., Concord, Ca. 94519-1514. We were to be paid $2000 for our performance. The contract was signed by Steve Leflar, owner of NBE and Star Sounds Productions, also at 4093 Concord Blvd., Concord, Ca.
On July 11 Hot House performed at the wine club Speakeasy/Grapevine Swing event at Korbel. All went well with no problems of any kind.
On July 13 in accordance with the contract I emailed a summary of the completed event to artists@northbayentertainment.com.
After a few weeks I began to inquire about payment. Mr. Symons would always promise I would be paid, as late as October. Ms. McLaughlin claimed she no longer worked for NBE. Mr. Leflar claimed not to own NBE and tried to blame the debt on NBE’s previous owner Thomas Schoenberger. I contacted Mr. Schoenberger and he assured me NBE’s ownership was held by Mr. Leflar. I also contacted Julie Williams, Korbel’s Hopsitality Director. She mailed me photocopies of her contract – with Mr. Leflar’s signature - and both of Korbel’s deposit and balance checks for the event, all of which had been mailed to NBE/Steve Leflar, 4093 Concord Blvd., Concord, Ca. This turns out to be Steve Leflar's home address. As of this writing I remain unpaid by Steve Leflar or Eric Symons. Call me for verification.
I have since learned that they have also ripped off Associated Entertainment Consultants, Allegra Events, Legendmakers Music, Notable Talent, and several bands.
I urge all DJs, musicians & wedding venues to avoid Simply The Best Entertainment, Steven Leflar and Eric Symons.
I too, have been ripped off by Steve Leflar and Eric Symons. Eric booked me to DJ 3 weddings and neither he or Steve ever paid me. This was now over 2 years ago. No response to my calls and emails.
I'm aware of several other vendors ripped off by Star Sounds Productions, before the name was changed to Simply The Best Entertainment.
At this point, I have written both of them off as criminals.
