I have been a user of this service for years. Recently the service has got much worse. The date that they say a bill will be paid is not accurate, not even close. They will not always pay late fees and penalties even when a bill being late is clearly their fault. I am quitting this service.

Beware many late fees if you join.

The problems are horrible.  CheckFree sent out a check with my name on it from a closed account.  The company then claimed that I initiated the transaction, which we had not.  The company then began making collections calls to me claiming that somehow I owed them money on a check written by them from a closed account.  Yesterday, a collection company called my place of work twice and my place of residence twice to demand payment for a transaction which I have never seen, never made, and never requested!

    Disgusted
CheckFree took debited my account without even the check that my bill  pay service issued being cashed.  My bank told me they hold the money until the check is cashed.  Why?  So they can earn interest on my money until the check is cashed.

Seems like they should not debit my account until the check is actually cashed.  What a scam!!!

    Unacceptable
My bank uses CheckFree for their online bill payer service.
CheckFree recently decided to no longer process E-bills from Chase and Capital One.  When I contacted my bank, they told me they were notified of this and they have no control.  When I contact Chase, they say there is no change to their service and it is up to the billing service.  When I contact CheckFree they say it's because Chase decided not to contract with them.  Well, I think they are lying, because I have an existing Chase account that was active prior to them notifying the bank that they would no longer process transaction with Chase, and that account was 'grandfathered' in.  So if they can bill one of my accounts with Chase, why the hell can't they bill the newer account with Chase.  They always deny fault and point to the bank.  It sucks.
