Lets start from the beginning. We stopped at the Myrtle Beach Welcome Center on 501 on Saturday June 26th and was greeted by Lou Mollen, a retired PA firefighter. At first he was personable and I thought trustworthy. We told him we were interested in the Dixie Stampede and he pulled out a book and looked up some numbers and told us the gate price for 2 adults and 2 children was $170 but he would knock $100 off and would give it to us for $70 if we went to the meeting on Tuesday June 29 at 9am.
We looked over the contract and before we signed it even asked about our children attending the meeting and he told us the kids would be right beside us the entire time. There was nothing on the contract that the children couldnt attend the meeting either. Remember, Lou is a agent for Monster Groups Vacation simply by the fact that he can accept money and sign contracts under their authorization.
On Monday June 28, my wife called Dixie Stampede and asked about prices and was told $127 for our family. That is a $50 LIE that Monster Groups Vacation told us. Knew we should have ran, but they had our deposit.
We showed up at our time on Tuesday and was met by a very rude tall blonde headed woman(i think) that took our contract and gave us a clipboard to fill out the paper work. While my wife was filling out the paper work, the reception person looked at my children who are 8 and 5 and said come on and i will show you the play room yall are going to be going to. This is the first time we had heard anything about leaving our children. Who in their right mind would leave their children with complete strangers. I told the woman that the children would be staying with us and she said no they CANT because they would be acting up and causing a rucuss. My children are very well behaved. I asked to see the credentials and background check of the person that was going to be watching my children and she told me "we arent going to argue about this, I will just give you your deposit back". I said no, i want my tickets to the Dixie Stampede. This went back and forth and I asked for a supervisor. Some little short guy that was immediatly a prick came out and said "you need to leave, we arent touring you today". I told him I wanted my tickets because we were meeting everything in the contract that we signed, they were the ones that were adding new conditions to the contract and we in breach of their contract. At this point, the little prick had me so pissed off, i asked for my contract back to use as proof to the BBB and Attorney Generals Office when the garden tool behind the counter took it off the counter. As I was leaving, the prick was standing behind the front door, with his head stuck out running his mouth.
