Verizon installed services which NEVER worked and shut my business down. We had not stopped Cox thank God. Called Verizon immediately and they said all would be removed from bill. I never had any service and now I have colletors,poor service, poor reaction.

    Sue them in small claims court for the amount they are charging you for non-service.  That will either get their attention sufficient to pull the account back from collections, or they lose and pay you.

    In addition, dispute the debt in writing, mailed certified, to the debt collector.

    Verizon has told you the debt is unowed, due to the service not provided.  Make the debt collector prove it is, forcing them to document that Verizon claims it is, so you can proceed with suit against Verizon.  They can't have it both ways:  you owe it, but they aren't liable for failing to provide services they are demanding payment for.
