This company withdrew $49.99 from my account without my permission. When i contacted them they told me to go to www.77refund.com. I went to that site and all I see is alot of other people that have been stolen from too. This company claims I filled out an application, NOT!

Immediately contact your bank to dispute fraudulent charges, and close the account due to fraud to prevent additional fraudulent charges.  Dispute with your bank, and follow up with a written dispute or fraud affidavit sent to your bank's dispute address from your statement.

Do NOT trust any cancellation or refund promises, as such scams will say anything to delay you past the 60 day FRB Reg. E or FCBA dispute periods during which your bank can just yank back their stolen money.

Do NOT use checking accounts, debit cards, or check cards  for any payments to anyone you do not know and trust.  Limit their use to payments to trusted creditors such as rent, mortgage, utilities, etc.  Use only credit cards for retail or online payments, as the fraud protections are stronger and it its less disruptive to block credit card numbers when fraud occurs.

Are these charges connected to a telemarketing call, a "discount offer" on calling some order number, an online purchase, or don't know?

What online merchants did you provide account information to before these charges showed up?

Were you presented with some pop-up "discount offer"?

Did charges occur despite rejecting (unchecking) some "discount offer"?

I too, have fallen prey to these fradulant charges.  Maybe we need to contact attorney generals in each of these cases and see if they can help.  I don't even know how they got my inormation to even write a check that I supposedly authorized.  This also cased a check to bouce which also cost me $31.00 extra dollars.  I will report it immediately monday morning to my bank. EEverybody beware, they say we are safe putting information on line to buy things, but then this kind of stuff happens.  I know it is $49.99 dollars I will pay more for to get back just for the principal of this.

The same thing happened to me for $59.97. I am going to go to my bank and dispute the charges and put a stop to any further charges.

They took $49.99 from my bank account.  This comes from these Cash Advance loan schemes over the internet.  These clowns are selling your info to these membership scams and hope you don't notice for the 60 days during the time when you can file a complaint to get your money back.

I just noticed today that a couple of days ago I was charged $49.99 from the Discount Web Member Sites as an electronic check from my checking account. I have taken out cash advance loans in the past, but I do not currently owe anything to them. I will be disputing these charges come Monday.

This company took 49.99 out of my account with an electronic check.  I turned it in as fraud at my bank and my bank credited the money back to my account and they are recovering it from Discount Web Member.  My bank told me that these online money lenders sell your information to anyone that will buy it, including your routing and account number.

I also contacted Discount Web Members, and they say they canceled my membership and are processing a refund to my account.  However, my banker said not to hold your breath, because they tell you that but your money never shows up.  So, I let my bank handle it.

Good luck to all who are trying to get it back.

I spoke with their online chat and she gave me all the information I needed for a refund.  After talking to her, I called my bank and reported the fraud.  My bank then replaced my money and is dealing with getting it back from them.  I then sent discount web an email telling them I had turned it into my bank as fraud. They in turn sent me an email in capital letters, asking me to take no further action, and they will return the money to my bank immediately.  SUPRISE!!!  The bank received the refund from them the same day.  Ha Ha got back at them.  Just threaten them with fraud and they jump on it.  Good luck all.

If you click on live help on the refund page, the operator gives you your id number and you can proceed from there.  Worked for me and I got my bank involved by filing a fraud claim and they got the refund the same day they contacted Discount web. Good luck
